The French Riviera is made up of several cities and towns along France’s Southern coast. Most are connected by the railway and Nice Cote d’Azur airport is the second largest in France, making it a great city to base yourself in if you plan on travelling exploring the coastline. An array of cheap hotels also makes this a great place to stay. A walk down the historic Promenade des Anglais and you’ll understand what Nice is really about. From the sea stretching out on one side to the snow-capped peaks of the Alps on the other, it’s hard not to be impressed.
If you’re looking for a luxurious break, head to the seaside city of Cannes.
