Volunteering in Kenya has been prevalent over the last 20 years. Volunteering overseas is becoming exceedingly popular amongst many travellers. Volunteering in Zanzibar is most certainly amongst the top destinations volunteers are now visiting There are many profound reasons why this is the case. Kenya and Tanzania are very popular tourist destinations with people from all over the world due to there unique scenery and landscapes. These countries also have a very unique and diverse culture to offer the rest of the world ranging from the Masai tribe in Tanzania to the Pokot tribe in Northern Kenya. As the rest of Africa goes these countries are relatively stable attracting more tourists.

These countries have consequently become famous due to these internationally known attractions thus attracting volunteers from all over the world. The volunteer’s main aim of visiting the country is to offer their help and support to the local communities that really need it. Many of the attractions of the country will be on the volunteers list of things to do whilst there. Countries like this benefit greatly from the volunteers. Not only do local communities within the country benefit greatly but the country itself earns revenue from the volunteers taking part in safaris and climbing mountains and beach tourism.

The reason volunteer numbers are so high in East Africa is because of the safety and security combination. It is a relatively safe region of the country in comparison to it’s neighbours Somalia and Sudan which are in constant conflict. There is a lot of foreign investment taking place in East Africa improving facilities for volunteers and tourists alike to make the most of.

Volunteers on the whole have an experience of a lifetime whilst on projects within this area. It is not only the local communities in Africa who benefit positively but also the volunteer’s themselves. They gain the sense of achievement, gratification and self-belief which all comes as part of the package. It is a great motivator and a great realisation of what people can do when they put their minds to it.

“So you haven’t been in a plane in ages. The last time you were, you probably thought you were going to die, just like the first time, the second time and every other second you spent on that soaring aircraft. Obviously, you have a condition called aerophobia, a term which speaks for itself and, thus, needs not the slightest explanation. What you would probably be more interested about is how to overcome this phobia, if, at all, you still care. If you’re asking if people ever get over aerophobia, of course, they do. They better news is, you’ve got everything in control.

You need to stop watching those air catastrophe documentaries on tv or YouTube which you may be ironically fond of if you’re serious about treating yourself. The same goes for movies that show crashing aircraft as you guessed it. You also have to avoid negative thoughts whether or not they’re related to flying as these could create negative vibes that only compound your fears. If anything, watch TV shows or read stories about people who have actually overcome their aerophobia – and don’t take their tips for granted.

One thing you need to develop when trying to overcome fear flying is trust – not necessarily in the crew or anyone directly connected to the flight but trust in life in general and the beautiful things that can happen. Mostly, the only thing you need to understand when dealing with aerophobia is that it is more about the fear of losing someone or something than it is of flying In your most solitary moments, try to explore your emotions and find that fear within you. Then try to look the reasons after it. Once you get hold of what you’re looking for, you’ll have a greater chance at training yourself to be more rational inflight.

Or then again, you can simply snap out of it and think that you’ve got 1 in 1.13 million chance of figuring in an air catastrophe – and that’s basing on the world’s worst airline statistics. The chances are even more remote by up to seven times if you take a look at the statistics of the world’s greatest airlines. That said, only irrationality can make you fear flying and that in itself should be enough to convince your that your fear is baseless, worthless and just downright illogical.

From cheap flights to Philippines to cheap flights to Scotland, there’ll be nice airline packages to suit your requirements, whether you’re traveling alone or with the entire family.”

Before you get your airline tickets at an affordable price, you have to make sure of a few things. To do this, you will have to follow certain steps without fail. If you are ready to follow such steps by spending a little bit of your own time, then automatically you can simply get the best possible lower priced air tickets. The first step is shop online. You have to browse on the internet for different airlines and certainly you will be more surprised in getting different rates of airline tickets. Moreover, you will be getting an additional chance to avail some more special deals that are available for online-shoppers only. Usually shopping online is always the most convenient way to purchase your airline ticket and it is also the most effective way to get your tickets at a lower price.

Be conscious of your travel timing. If you are capable to decide your timing of travel well in advance, as a first step, you have to consult with your travel agency. Since the internet is capable to render prices and schedules for longer than six months in advance, it is always better to consult with the travel agency. If you have purchased your travel ticket well in advance, it will definitely save you a lot of money. It is always good to plan ahead but many people will not like to plan ahead and even they do not know how to plan ahead. Once you are used to doing it this way, then you will never look back again. If you want to be really amazed in this regard then you need to keep a diary where you will write down your travel expenses. You will be amazed to see how much you are saving.

Travel out of season if possible. Traveling when it is peak season, such as public holidays, long weekends, World Cup Tournaments etc, means that airline ticket prices skyrocket. Again planning ahead can be a very handy tool! Airlines increase their ticket prices during school holidays, public holidays and World Cup Tournaments. Make sure you know about public holidays in other countries, as they differ from local public holidays. There are many websites that can give you an indication of public holidays abroad.

If it is in any way possible, plan your date of travel to return on a weekday since weekends are busier hence air tickets for travel on weekends are more expensive. Since Friday marks the start of the weekend, flights on this day are generally more costly than other weekdays especially when they denote the start of a longer weekend. Air ticket costs are cheaper for journeys lasting from a week up to a month and a half. Planning a trip for this duration is a wonderful chance to extend your visit as well as going around to do some sightseeing at a different place.

It’s important to state whether you are a senior citizen as most of the airlines provide discount for the passengers. If the airline does not mention about the discount then make sure to ask for the discount.

It goes without saying that the early bird will catch the worm. This holds true for buying airline tickets as well! To ensure that you definitely get the cheapest available ticket, it is best to book very early in the morning. This will help you get the most cost effective deal and you can even get to choose your seat. Not only that, but the staff who is still fresh will be quite polite and helpful. We tend to believe that direct flights are cheap, but sometimes, connecting flights are more cost effective, though of course a little inconvenient.
