Most people taking holidays in Tanzania for the first time will wish to combine a safari in the Northern Parks with a stay on the island of Zanzibar. The classic safari in the North will include Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro crater, the Serengeti and maybe the Tarangire Park. A stay in Zanzibar should best include a few days on the West coast, discovering Stone Town, doing a spice tour or chilling out on the islands opposite Stone Town and a few days on the East Coast just lazing on the beach and taking life easy. Ideally two or three week holidays in Tanzania can be split equally between safari and beach depending on your preference. Others may also wish to climb Kilimanjaro. This can also be organised from this site and combines well with the Northern circuit. Those who are a little more adventurous may try the parks in the South, but this is more likely to appeal to those who have already experienced the Northern parks or have been on safari before. The seasons are slightly different, the vegetation thicker but no less beautiful and the Southern parks allow for greater isolation. Those who are primarily planning a trip to Zanzibar but wish to add on a few days safari may well choose to visit the Selous which is the closest park to Zanzibar and manageable in a short period of time. This site provides everything you need to know to organise and book your Tanzania holidays. It is organised in a logical way and the basic text takes no longer than 20 minutes to read. If you are impatient then use the toolbar, if not just read page by page by pressing the next button at the bottom of each page. You can deviate from the main text by clicking on highlighted words for more information, but we suggest that first time around you follow our advice and read straight through. Whether you decide to travel with us or not, we are sure that you will find these few minutes useful in planning your holiday. Safari Ndjema! (good journey!)
