ADVENTURE GRADE CAMPING SAFARIS (BASIC)

These are run with a crew of cook/assistant plus guide, and guests will be required to assist with the setting up and dismantling the camp. It is a viable option for those keen to camp, stay in more remote places, or on a slightly tighter budget. Available on a schedule departure into Tanzania’s northern parks- Serengeti, Nogrongoro and Manyara, or for private groups –and number of days from three upwards. For private dated departure the minimum number must be four participants.

There are schedule departures through the year, ideally suited to those persons travelling alone wanting to join a small group.

There are two schedule trips:
1)   A 6 day safaris, which includes the Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara national park
2)   A 14 day safari, the MIGRATION HUNTER includes Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Manyara north-western Tanzania, Maasi Mara, the Rift Valley and Lake Victoria.

An 11 day safaris SACRED PLACES, is available only for private groups of four or more people. It includes the Serengeti, Lake Natron, Ngorongoro region of northern Tanzania.

Small vehicles (5-7seaters) are used and carry all equipment, usually in a trailer. A safari driver/guide and cook travels with the group, and guests are expected to assist with putting up and dismantling the camp. Usually PUBLIC campsites are used, with communal toilets and facilities.
This style of safari may also be booked privately for small groups on any day.

EQUIPMENT PROVIDED

•   Insect-proof, walk-in large dome tents (3m x 3m x 1.90m)
•   Mess/dining tent with table for meal-times
•   Fridge and/or cool box
•   Safari stools and table
•   Lanterns in mess/cooking area
•   All cutlery & crockery and table water
•   Wash stands
•   Comfortable mattresses
•   Bedding (sleeping bags and inner sheet)

STAFF

•   Cook/camp hand
•   Professional Safari guide/driver

VEHICLES

•   Transport in custom built 4x4 safari vehicles –maximum 5-7 person per vehicle, normally land cruisers.
•   Game viewing hatches in roof
•   Trailer may be used for excess camping gear (allowing more room inside the vehicle)

CAMPSITES USED

•   Generally public campsites are used, with their facilities (i.e. toilet, shower ETC)

OTHERE SERVICES PROVIDED

•   Full passenger liability and public liability insurance
•   Back up office with 24 hour contact numbers for emergencies
•   All park fees, camping fees and vehicle fees are included and prepaid
•   All meals on safari with multi-courses
•   All guides carry mobile phones.
