Northern Tanzania - Parks and Locations

Arusha is the logical hub for all activities in Northern Tanzania for visiting the various parks and for climbing Mount Meru or Kilimanjaro and the following section covers the alternative routes.

The parks combine together to form a logical circuit. A classic safari in the North of Tanzania invariably includes the major parks of Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti. There are many alternatives, if you keep reading you will come to a brief description of each of the parks. At the end we have selected a number of classic itineries.

Safaris from the Northern circuit can easily be combined with safaris in the lesser known parks of the South or with Zanzibar. There are several flights a day from Arusha to Zanzibar and Dar es Salaam from where flights can be taken to the individual parks of the South. We can very simply combine the three areas.
