The Seronera is the heart of the Serengeti. This undulated area is characterised by lightly wooded valleys along the tributaries of the Grumeti River. The river never dries up completely in this area and animals can be seen at all seasons. The area is famous for its high concentration of resident predators, which do not follow the migration but find subsidence in this area all year round.
Although this is an essential stopping spot in the Serengeti there are only three lodges. They are often booked well in advance. Each has its strengths and defects but sometimes you just have to take what you can get. The three Hotels are the Serengeti Sopa Lodge, ugly well positioned at certain times of the year and well run, The Seronera Serena Lodge well positioned and slightly more stylish and the Seronera Wildlife Lodge with the best position with up and down quality.
The alternative is for us to set up our Private Camp wherever the migration is moving and offer you the exclusivity, intimacy and close animal contact that only a tented camp can offer.
