Tarangire Treetops is a luxury safari lodge located on the eastern border of Tarangire National Park. Situated outside the park but in the Conservation area, this is a place which is loved by our clients. It is a long way from the park gate however and to avoid driving all the way back to the gate it is important to do the day’s safari in the park before arriving at the Hotel rather than the other way around.
This is an extremely stylish lodge; there are 20 treehouse tents with stone bathrooms, electricity and amazing views from the balconies. There is a very airy dining room and the food is good. The bar is close to a small swimming pool and a waterhole frequented by elephants.
Treetops also offers game viewing with guided walking safaris and game drives in the camp's own open-sided safari vehicles. The camp can also operate spotlit night safaris which are no longer allowed in the parks of Tanzania. Many do not approve of these as there is a feeling that they interfere with the natural hunting process but there is no doubt that they can often be quite spectacular.
