"The Bean" is a complete self-contained bungalow.It is in a location which is genuinely spectacular on the top of the cliffs overlooking the most beautiful bay. It has 3 large bedrooms, all en suite, one with bath and shower, the other two with showers only. There are beds for 6 adults and 2 single beds for kids.
There is also a cot for babies or small children, a high chair and even a potty! The bean has a fridge, freezer, gas cooker/oven, toaster, kettle, microwave and gas barbeque. Crockery, glasses, cutlery, pots and pans, all linen and towels are all provided. Please bring your own beach towels.
Ras Kiroko relies on generator power only. The generator runs from 8:30 to 10:30 from 14:00 to 15:00 and from 18:30 to 22:00.
Please bring your own torches. Kerosene lamps will be left outside at night by our askaris.
There are NO mosquitoes at all! It’s wonderful not to have to worry! There are other insects thought, and even wild animals, so please be careful. Especially with kids. The entire house will be sprayed for insects upon your arrival and the house has a waist high fence surrounding it. On the south side is a gate to a path leading down to the empty beach below.
The house has its own borehole and our mineral water is pure and clean. You can drink it out of the tap. No need to boil or filter.
One of the staff will come daily to make your beds and give a clean to the house for you. It is possible to have a meal at the hotels close by, but you will need to book in advance. Cost approx. is Usd $ 20/pers./meal + drinks .
